Founder & CEO of Optar AI, Audrey is an early pioneer in the area of artificial intelligence having worked with top engineers and scientists leading software development efforts in the areas of computational linguistics, optical character recognition (OCR), handwriting recognition, and even in wireless communications. As a tech innovator and strategist, she produced industry leading commercial and OEM software and hardware including WordScan, CorrecText™, and much more.
She led ecommerce strategy for Intel frequently working for Intel Capital focused on software acquisitions. All she learned about tech innovation came from industry legend Regis McKenna, creator of the Apple logo and brand. In recent years she’s reconnected with her roots in AI and added image-based data analytics having worked on satellite-based analysis of yield measurements helping a crop insurance company get better predictions. Other work most recently has centered on drone-based data analysis with hyperspectral and other types of sensors for agriculture and utilities. In this Big Data/data analytics area she’s participated in The Yield Lab accelerator, been an Arch Grant finalist and 2016 Global Impact Award Finalist from Skandalaris Center for Interdisciplinary Innovation and Entrepreneurship Washington University in St. Louis. She has an MBA from Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis.
